The Application Engineer will be primarily responsible for instrument calibration and application validation during the production of Optical Emission Spectrometers. The role ensures that every system meets defined analytical performance standards before dispatch and supports technical demonstrations and customer training as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and performance validation of Optical Emission Spectrometers during production
  • Verify analytical accuracy using Certified Reference Materials (CRMs)
  • Develop and validate analytical methods for ferrous and non-ferrous bases
  • Support internal quality checks, acceptance testing, and documentation
  • Assist sales and service teams with technical inputs, demonstrations, and application discussions
  • Provide customer training and application-level support when required
  • Work closely with R&D, production, and service teams to ensure consistent instrument performance

Preferred Profile

  • B. Tech in Metallurgy or B.Sc./M.Sc. in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Materials Science, or related disciplines
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic performance are welcome
  • Candidates with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in OES, metallurgical laboratories, foundries, or QA/QC environments will have an added advantage
  • Sound understanding of ferrous and non-ferrous metal analysis
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and documentation skills
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer support or installations
